Poems about Contradictions

If your life lives
In the doubting mind,
Not too long, rest assured,
Will you be able to avoid
The serpentine quagmire
Of life-devastating contradictions.

A Labyrinth Of Contradictions

The human life is but
A labyrinth of contradictions.
It does not know how to pray,
Yet it thinks it can easily realise God.
It is always full of problems,
Yet it thinks it is enjoying
Perfect perfection.

Sri Chinmoy, Ten Thousand Flower-Flames, Part 55, Agni Press, 1983.

CONTRADICTIONS

Human birth
And
Life-freedom
Are contradictory.

Human life
And
Love-perfection
Are contradictory.

Human goal
And
God-Smile
Are contradictory.

Sri Chinmoy, The Golden Boat, Part 5, Agni Press, 1974.
