Poems about Heart

by Sri Chinmoy

O My Heart

O my heart,

I am exceedingly happy today.

Do you know why?

Today I have completely passed through

The longest dry desert of my doubting mind,

And now I am being blessed

By the beauty of your

God-fragrance-garden

~

O My Heart

O my heart,

You are your mounting aspiration-flames

To reach the highest illumination-heights.

Therefore, I am divinely and supremely

proud of you.

Look at my utterly stupid mind:

It is dying for death-desire-drugs.

HUMAN HEART AND DIVINE HEART

A sacred heart

Is God's inspiration.

A secret heart

Is man's imagination.

A crying heart

Is man s illumination.

A self-giving heart

Is God s realisation.

A surrendered human heart

Reaches God's transcendental Heights

A perfect and manifested heart

Is the pride of God's Reality-dream.

A surrendered divine heart

Is the smile of the Absolute Supreme.

~

My Heart

My heart is an eternal cry.

God's Heart is an eternal Smile.

They live together and grow together

Inside a concern-cave

And inside a Concern-Palace.

An Extract from a Talk on the Spiritual Heart

We have a loving heart, an aspiring heart, an inspiring heart, an illumining heart and a fulfilling heart. With our loving heart we welcome the world at large. With our aspiring heart we climb up to the highest pinnacle of divinity. With our inspiring heart we inspire not only the world within us, but also the world without-the world of God's entire creation. With our illumining heart we illumine our ignorance, darkness, imperfection and bondage. With our fulfilling heart we fulfil God the Dreamer in us, God the Player in us, God the Lover in us and God the Beloved Supreme in us.
