Every heart-cry
Awakens the sleeping world.
Every soul-smile
Nourishes the searching world.

Your heart will widen
Toward the perfection-whole.
I tell this from my own
Experience-light
And
Realisation-height.

God will not allow you
To participate in His cosmic Game.
Cry for surrender-participation
In His cosmic Game;
God not only will allow you

But also will share with you
His infinite Delight.

Quote on the Inner Cry

"The psychic cry is the cry of the heart which always transcends not only its own limits, but also earth's limits.
The possessor of a psychic cry is the lover of God's Smile and the fulfiller of God's Dream."
Commentary
Sri Chinmoy differentiates between the outer crying and the inner cry. When our desires are not fulfilled we feel miserable. When we feel a sense of loss and separation this also can make us cry. But in the spiritual life we are crying not for name and fame but we cry inwardly for peace, light and bliss which are the qualities of our own Soul. Thus a great mystical poem is a poem that will make you cry inwardly, a poem to awaken our dormant aspiration.
