The Austin Poetry Society is a chapter of the Poetry Society of Texas and an affiliate of the Academy of American Poets. APS members engage in outreach to the community and meet informally to hone their poetic skills. An eclectic array of speakers address the society at monthly meetings, and the society offers monthly and annual competitions. Membership is open to all, and visitors are welcome to sit in on meetings.
